The sexualization of women, where did it come from

There is now a lot of concern about how women are being sexualized and seen as objects by many men and many boys, although we can blame society and say that over the last 30-40 years or so, and even more so today, women are being sexualized and often presented as sexual objects(although i believe that there is nothing wrong with a women or men having an aspect of themselves as being a sexual being). Of course this does play a part in teaching young girls, as it also plays a part in teaching young boys stating that this is what girls/women are, in other words sexual objects (I must make it clear that I personally believe a women can dress sexy and portray herself as being desireble without portraying herself as a sexual object, if anything sexualization is in the attitude which a person displays, and in the image which is being portrayed of them). Now I am obviously going at an extreme because not all boys and men see women in this way, and even the ones who do will also see women beyond being just that. But I wanted to go to the extremes in order to dissect where this mentality comes from, and in truth this is based on the oldest views of women through out history. The mentality of seeing women solely as sexual objects comes from the mentality of women being seen as objects period. But to be more precise I should not use the word object but ratter more the word belonging, so it is normal that coming from a history where  women have in a large sense been seen as belonging to a man, for example as  a child belonging to her father and later on belonging to a husband. Now from this mentality and ways of being we can understand how a women’s sexuality can at times be seen by men as belonging to them, it is the same foundation mentality, it is just exhibited in different ways which are according to today’s ways of being, ways of interacting, as well as ways of thinking. So even if today a women may not be seen as belonging to her/a man, she is still often seen as belonging to men, or more so as the objects of men, and she is often portrayed in this way. But of course I must say with conviction that not all men in the past have seen women/wife as being their belongings but ratter as being their partner, just as a lot of men today see women as being equal partners, friends and so on. But when it comes to the sexualization of women by both men and women alike, this aspect and behavior or belief is a direct descendent from very old ways, ways of thinking that have just been modified to fit today’s world, and to fit today’s rights and equality of the sexes (at least in the legal term), which is of course a very huge step forward, but never the less it does not solve the issue of the mentality. But of course a lot of women and men have overcome this mentality or at least have overcome it in a large way, but a lot of men still base the value of a women on her object potential (what she can be used for) ratter then on the women herself, just as a lot of women feel the need to sexualize themselves or fit in a certain role in order to be a women, or to fulfill what they believe a women is or should be.

What does the future hold for us, part two Human potential

I think human potential is very obvious, I believe that to see the full scope of this potential for the future, we must first start by looking at where we are, then we should look back to the process of how we got here, and then we should look at the process of our natural learning capabilities as well as the natural process of how we proceed in self and in human evolution. So by looking at where we are, how we got here (the foundation aspects to human actions, as well as the dominate influences), as well as looking at our natural evolution methods which we see so clearly in an infant, we will have a better overall idea of human potential, and we will also have a clearer idea of what we need to do to maximize it. Now I must be clear that human potential is not just to be seen as technologies, human potential goes far beyond just this particular aspect, if we neglect the human and simply develop the technologies then we are likely to simply develop the machine potential while leaving humans with no potential at all. For now technologies is an extension of the human potential, but within a 100 years or so (probably even before then) technological potential may be an extension of technologies and no longer an extension of humans, so in a sense technologies will built itself and built upon itself. So this clearly shows us that human potential as well as improvement and human evolution cannot solely be based on technologies, because at a certain point technologies will no longer be based on the evolution of human kind, but ratter on the evolution of the technologies themselves. At some point this is something which we will have to consider. So obviously within the progress of technologies we must also overall put a strong emphasis on the progress of the human mind, and this progress will also strongly determine how we go about in using our developing technologies,  that right there can make all the difference. And I believe it is also what will make all the difference in the world which we create, as well as in the future technologies which we will put into existence.

What does the future hold for us?

Now what does the future likely hold for us when it comes to our water supplies? Well the glaciers are melting so this will mean that sea levels will rise, and once sea levels reach a certain level then sea water will start to mix in with our drinkable water in our rivers, this will contaminant our drinking water and make it undrinkable with the means which provide our water filtration capabilities. This can cause an extreme problem, so obviously we will have to look ahead and water filtration facilities should be up dated as well as new ones created in a means to ensure the production of drinkable water. Also I must mention that the rise of sea levels will in turn rise our river water levels, meaning that some sort of fold prevention means along the rivers where folds are most likely to accrue should be considered (hey how about using some of our old decomposed garbage to good use). Now a lot of people have believed that the transition to the future would cause a lot of people to lose their jobs, but in truth it will also create a lot of jobs, and once the transition is over, if we have done it in a good way then I believe that the economy as well as job occupation will not be a problem.

Now we are likely to become a vegan world, because food supplies will have to be used wisely considering the raising world population, agriculture will need to be put to better use, so this will mean reducing and eliminating the production of farm animals. Now let’s just take a look at this logically, a farm animal eats a lot more food (grain) then it itself produces, so on a value food production system this is not productive. Logically the world will become for the most parts vegan, wild animals may still be a source of meet for those slow to transit but I believe that regulations to protect such animals will eventually need to be put in place. Now we are likely to see a vegan world start to strongly come around within the next 6-10 years and maybe even quicker if certain natural circumstances force us to quickly modify our eating habits. Now I am sure that such planning and anticipation is already in the works, or at least it should be. I think people will also turn towards their own in door agriculture gardens. This may not seem like a large solution but on a large scale if the majority of people had a small 365 days a year garden growing different things this would dramatically lessen the strain on the world’s food supply production.

Now as for energy, I believe that oil (gas) will need to be reduced, but nuclear energy should not be increased too drastically, it is a very dangerous energy source which we are far from having complete control over. But nevertheless I believe that improving the quality and the safety of nuclear production is key ratter then increasing its production. I thing that people will soon realize that solar energy will be the most beneficial, there are also a lot of natural fuels which can be considered, but I do not think that fusel fuels or similar alternative are a good large scale solution. I do not believe that anything which has to do with constantly digging the earth is a variable large scale solution. Now as for any type of fuels which are made from agriculture such as fuels made from corn, this alternatives are not wise ideas seeing that our agriculture sites need to be used for food, considering the worlds growing population, as well these types of fuels offer a low energy return compared to its need and production process, so it is not a variable choice. So obviously solar energy will have to be the ultimate way to go seeing how the sun gives us enough energy in one minute to fuel our power supply needs for a whole year, this energy must be harness and stored efficiently. Now as for electricity, I do not believe that it should be increased, what should be increased is its efficiency and distribution methods. I believe that these kinds of methods already do exist but are not used for the simple reason that they might make it difficult to keep track of who is using how much energy. But nothing that we know of is more powerful then the sun (except for black holes) the sun already supplies an important source of energy for all living things including us humans, I think we should expand on that. Now if we wait too long to decrease our dependencies on gas this can in some high populated eras reduce the efficiency of harnessing solar energy, I am not sure if fog as it is now has any effects on the harnessing of solar energy, but I think it would be an reasonable assessment to conclude that higher levels of fog can eventually cause such a problem.

Now these I believe are all likely processes in the transition into our future as a human kind, at least into a future which we all hope for.

Society and politics, Huge corporations

The soaring gas prices can have many different effects in regards to the future of the western world, and the whole future of human kind, but there are some good aspects to rising gas prices. First it will force people and society in general to turn to other means and other resources to fuel their economies as well as the global economic engine. And if citizens as well as the economy can sustain through the hit of the rising gas prices during this shift, then we are looking at a very bright future. It will likely come at a high coast, but if we are able to do this well, we will in fact have a bright future. First of all the factor of cleaner air, second of all the huge factor of not having global and personal economies be fueled by gas. This process has made us all depended upon these huge gas giants, and let me ask you this “ what is the best way to control a person, well it is by controlling their dependency, and the proof of our out of hand dependency on gas is obvious. If gas prices were to double by tomorrow, people and societies would still be forced to buy gas. Now as I mentioned earlier rising prices can in the long run have its advantage, such as forcing us to shift alternatives, which is a very good thing. But one of the highest risks in this process is that higher prices may push a lot of smaller businesses to go bankrupted, which will in turn simply give more power to the largest corporations’. I am not against huge corporations, I think that they have huge advantages, but to have them have all the power would put us in a non favorable position of dependency, and in an economy where most opportunities would be controlled by a few. Let’s think of it this way, the more large scale corporations’ there are, the better the prices can get, but these better prices will also be accompanied by lower salaries leading us deeper into dependency. On the other hand it may not lead to better prices at all; a great example of this is seen in the large oil corporations, the bigger they get, and the more profits they make, the more they increase the prices, now why is that? The main reason is because there are no real major competition to oil, so our dependency gives them a green light to rises prices, seeing how it will not affect the demands of oil, too much of anything is no good at all. Now having large corporations have more global influences can actually have a good side to it, which is a less chaotic market, and a less competitive world centered more on oneness, which is a very good thing, but this would only be good if all these large corporations all had the best interests for the people, and for the future, and I think that this is not the case. This type of system would be better achieved and would be better for the people if done so more as a new form of government where the people have power and a say, which would not be the case if large corporations would be in power, because what they would say would simply be. But of course large corporations having more power and more control over the market has created a larger market and it has paved the way for global unity and global oneness. As well as it has freed us from a lot of older government powers which had all the control over us. But if too much power or ultimate power were to go in the hands of the largest corporations, then innovation and change would come at a much slower rate (we can see this in governments where the people have no say). Because innovation coat money and innovation brings large change to a system, and if large corporations were to have all power, then why would they put themselves through that, they would rather keep the status quo. The greatest example of this comes from the large oil companies, these companies do not want change, and to maintain their dominance, they will actually try to prevent change. Change would make them lose business and lose control over the global economy. So having one aspect have total control of a certain aspect of our global needs i believe is a very harmful thing, and it is something that will prevent global growth in the long run. Sure oil has played a huge role in the fuelling of our world economy, so it is understandable that they would want to maintain their dominance, and why people would help them to do so. But what once fueled the global economy can now fuel its destruction, and having such corporations gain even more power would have us put a halt to global economical evolution for the simple reason that they would not want to lose their dominance, therefore try to keep the status quo. This is why a government is the way to go, because if government is well structured, then it is for the good of its citizens, and for the sustainability of its good functions, and such a structure would take any option into consideration without wanting to keep the status quo. But before such a process can better be attained by government, government still has a long ways to go, and the main problem in this is the economy, as well as the job market. Because government has not yet fully figured out how to quickly transit to new options while maintaining the economy as well as the job market intact. So a major change will have to accrue in the economy, and the functions of it. But this change cannot become the dominance of large corporations, which already have too much influence on governments. It would have to come by a better range and fuller range of government services, providing better tools which would able its citizens to grow and to in turn be of better service through their means, talents, and capabilities. This would of course eventually change the structure of the global economy, while at the same time be of a great advantage for all citizens, as well as bring constant innovation. Because nothing would be fixated on staying the same due to economical needs, we cannot afford to have one thing be the dominant factor in providing for a certain economical function need, if we do, this will just decreases our options. The fuel to our economy cannot just be oil, but we cannot just make it into electricity, or any one option, the key to continual progress is through diversity. Now of course what I have described is still a far away reality, at least not too realistic in the next few years to come. But I simply wanted to describe this possible reality, and the process which we need to take to get there, as well as the process which we need to avoid.

Now if we really think about it pharmaceutical companies strive on hard times, they strive on having the people stressed out, and they strive on people feeling powerless. I think that two of the most dominant parts of our societies and economical dependencies which we have to overcome, are our dependency for oil, as well as our dependency on excess pharmaceuticals. These are two aspects of our dependencies which strive on a troubled economy. Medication needs troubled times in order to flourish, pharmaceutical companies depend on our hard times which will bring about a lot of stress, therefore a lot of mental health and physical problems. The harder times are for citizens especially of western societies, the more profit and the more gains these pharmaceutical companies make. Now by feeding on to these dependencies we are feeding such structures, which will indirectly reinforce these same ways of living. The influence which we form today will strongly help to create the world of tomorrow, it is the same with oil, the more trouble which we have in our economy the less we can invest in order to search and find, and create alternatives. Although as I have already mentioned, this might actually in the long term push us towards finding and creating alternatives, which would of course be a huge and productive step on social evolution, as well as the evolution to a more humane world. What has control on a society is its dependencies, but we must also conclude that when the suppliers of such dependencies become too greedy, it will likely in the long run force people to go towards other dependencies which will be more efficient as well as hopefully more healthy. But at times people will also tend to go deeper into such existing dependencies, by encouraging and supporting a higher production rate, therefore giving even more control to these dependencies. But to get back to my point of how we control a society by controlling its dependencies, this is a fundamental truth. By controlling a societies dependency we make sure that society functions and operates in a way to support this dependency, also in a large sense providing support which brings greater profit and power to those who provide for these dependencies. Therefore if many of these structures which provide for our dependencies remain in power, then things are likely not to change.

The evolution of a balanced political system

We may criticize politicians and leaders, but improvement has been made, a part of that improvement, especially in these days, is due to criticism. while I am far from being a fan of criticism, I can recognize criticism has helped to improve modern politics. It is an ongoing process, and the most beneficial types of criticisms are in the form of protest, as well in the form of actions which will induce change. We may still consider certain acts by government to be brutal, and we may rightfully criticize them, but we cannot denie that world leaders are now at the least brutal which they have been in human history (at least to our knowledge of what goes on). They now have less power to be brutal, so the optimize in me cannot help but to see this as a sign of progress, this is in a large part due to mental evolution brought about by a gain of knowledge as well as more interplanetary communication. The brutal forces of the world are losing power, and the brutal forces in modern societies are also on the verge of losing power. Now this does and will lead to improvement, so even if at times it may not seem so, overall we as human kind are in the process of becoming a more peaceful and cooperative civilization, we are now potentially positioned for major position change. But of course this is a process, I think the decline of the economy whether it gets better or worst will have played a major part in this. Economical crises forces people to become more conscious of their resources, and when we become more conscious of our recourses, we realize how much we actually waste. We also realize how they can be put into better use, and we also realize that our certain dependence on certain resources do have to be eliminated, while new ones are created. These are some of the overall benefits of any economical crises, especially in a world where we are becoming more and more conscious of our resources’, as well as our environment. I truly believe that hard times do make the majority better, as long as the hard times do not drag on for too long. Any fall which a reasonable person experiences by their own faults will often times make this person conscious of this fault, which is the first step to bringing about positive change. This is the same process which can go on inside a society, or inside a country, or a whole civilization, as long as the faults are recognized, and awareness comes to be, if so then improvement is guaranteed to happen. So conscious people and conscious societies never really fall, they just learn. Now the reason why economical crises can help us to be more conscious is simply because when such hard times happen, patterns are broken, and when certain harmful patterns are broken, insight happens. This is the same process in an individual as it is in a society, the lack of this insight or lack of understanding of these types of insight have always for the most part been the reason why certain powerful societies have fallen. Adaptation and improvement is the key to sustainable power, nature as well as the nature of humans will knock us down if we do not continually improve.

Now are we structured to overcome the majority of our problems, I believe so. I believe that the structures are there, although they could not remain as they are now. We would have to make better use of them. But our present structures are fit to bring about change in order to progress, links of communication are the key, things can now be processed and done much quicker. This can lead to professionals having better access to the professionals whom make the major decisions in their fields. This is very important because the more people can have a say, the more ideas and exchange of ideas can be processes. We should no longer live in a time where only the head person is made to be the thinking mind, every body’s ideas should add to the process of building ideas and decision making, the best ideas are always built and put into application by a collective.

The societies who can transmit their economy the quickest to new ecological and more efficient societies will be the front runner of the world. But the problem with getting this done is that many large companies are opposed to this, for the simple fact that it will put many of them out of business. So with their strong political influence, are likely to try to stop this transition, a lot of citizen are as well oppose to this, because it will put many of them out of a job. But this will go against the progress of the society; this is why it is a dangerous thing if a world government is ran in part by the largest corporations, because such a government would likely prevent innovative change from ever coming into being. So then a world government would become a means to control and no longer a means to human and social evolution. I think that we are at a very critical time in our worlds history and it is very important that we all be very conscious of what is going on around us, and especially what is going on inside of our governments. We can no longer just accept that government business be government business, because government business is our business. The more that we demand knowledge and cooperation by our decisions, by our actions, by what we choice to support as well as our willingness and want to be involved, the more things will have to be put into the open. We must also realize that the more political things which are in the open, the more free and the less pressure and opposition will be put upon the leaders who have very good intents as well as a plan to get things done. We hold great power and by not taking our power we are actually taking power away from the leaders whom want to do what is overall best for us and for the future. The way in which we can take our power is everyone must demand clearer information from their superiors, and in turn must also be willing to reveal more structured information to whomever they manage in their organization; i think that plans and processes must be revealed not just intents. The more people know the process, the more people will be efficient in following the process, as well as the more errors is likely to be found in certain plans of process leading to more structured input. Now obviously not everyone can know every process which is going on, but I  am referring to the people who are highly involved in making a certain process come to be. The people in certain organizations who might also have closer links to the general public. The more people know and the more people are involved, the more it keeps people honest, of course the decisions should then still fall upon the elected officials. But the more conscious we all are of these processes, and the more people who are involved in the input and idea building, the better decisions will likely be. If we must live in democracy, then democracy it must be, and better and more complete democracy comes with greater awareness.

Certain situation do force people to make irrational decisions, can we really blame someone for becoming impulse driven, and reactive when they cannot seem to find a job in order to provide for their family. We cannot blame certain people for not being patient with certain processes. But with that said they may in turn hinder the process towards a solution. The reason for that is that they are desperate for quick solutions; therefore they are more vulnerable to false promises. But in general I think people are willing to be patient with certain processes, just as long as they know what is going on. Nobody likes to be left in the dark, not by anyone and not by their government, especially when results are essential to their survival, and to their family’s survival. But in general westerns politics have given a dream, and then have not given much of a follow up, or many updates, process is progress, but on the other hand governments must also realize that progress becomes damaged when people fear, when people fear they are likely to put a stop to a process. So reasonably speaking if a government truly has a plan and good intentions for their citizens, then it would be in their best interests to often reveal the game plan, and how things are coming along especially if things are moving a bit slow. But on the other hand it is the citizen’s responsibilities to follow these updates with a rational mind.

Our extensions: Material an extension of the self

Material things are greatly linked to our social aspects, to our social selves, material things are an extension of our socializing, things speak for us that is why material things have became such a fascination for most. Because material things are like silent conversations, if the conversation of a persons material things are not interesting to a person, then they will tend to not engage the actual person in an actual conversation. We live in a time where everything that we posses, and every thing which we find interests in has become the major part of our socializing, of what speaks for us. But the down side to this is that the material conversation will often cause us to over look many aspects to a person, as well as many common similarities. Material conversation also tell more of a one dimensional story, leading us to forget that a certain material conversation can lead to many different stories. But every thing which we do or posses is somewhat part of the extension of our mental structure. Now this is neither good or bad, it goes both ways, the definite bad part would have to be that the material things as well as all forms of extension for many have become what makes them, and no longer what they made. Now the problem with this is that a lot of people do not see such things as mere extensions which they add onto themselves, but they ratter see it as what makes them, as what makes the self, this is how people can get lost in riches, or in the quest for riches. A lot of people even before they start to form many extensions will try to attain extensions so that they may built the self, and I think that we are all guilty of this or at some point have been guilty of it. But what this process does is while people are trying to attain extensions to create the self, the self is being blocked from creating its extensions, and people can never find themselves in this type of mental structure, they can only find money or image, or what ever it is which they seek in order to create the self. So often times the money, and image is not made as an extension of the self, instead money and image is made by trying to gain extension to create the self, this greatly turns people away from true purpose, and attaining material or extensions to built the self then becomes their main purpose.

Our extensions: the extension of the self

The extension of our self is seen in our process, but what can really define us? Which extensions truly reveal who we are as an individual? If knowing a person is mostly knowing their processes, then how can we see someone beyond process. I am saying this because the extension of self is a very tricky thing, because a person can simply add extensions in order to try to create the self, or to try to create a self which they want to be in order to appeal to others, and these things do not express the true self. I think the expression of the self goes beyond words; it is something which makes someone be at one with life, something that lets them be free. Freedom is an expression, for example what does a surfer, a person who likes to get up every day and go ride the waves, what does this say about them? It states that they most likely ride life as it is and as it goes, they do not fuss, they feel free, and they are most likely going to be more laid back in their ways of being. A ballet dancer is likely going to be more structured and refined. A break dancer is likely to be more explorative in their ways of living. I believe a person’s freest form of expression is what will tell the most about them. I believe the self also shows it self when someone goes to great length to help or serve others. Wealth can also be an extension of the self, an extension of one’s value as in their capabilities and resourcefulness, but in return the value should not become what brings value to the self, the self should be what creates the value, as well as what brings value to it. A person’s desire for a lot of space maybe an expression of the limitless possibilities which they perceive in themselves, so obviously wealth is never a bad thing, I think that the bad rap it sometimes gets, is that it is often seen as a thing which a person has to obtain in order to bring value to themselves, ratter then something which can express the value of a person’s capabilities, creativity and resourcefulness. But of course the value of capabilities does not always express it self with wealth or with wealth alone, wealth should always be an extension not something which we should feel is needed in order to create the self. Relationships are also an extension of the self, although this can go in many different ways. It can be an extension of the self by surrounding our self with people who are similar; this should be done with variety in order to have a full expression of the self. But if a person starts to base their self upon their relationships, then they are likely to base the self upon the extension, ratter then have the extension be based on the self, of course there is nothing wrong with modifications here and there, but such things should be done with caution. But another way which relationships are an extension of the self is by how we select our surroundings to determine how we are treated by who surrounds us. Of course how we get treated strongly is linked by how we present our self, but of course how we present our self does let in certain people as well as automatically leaving certain people out. But if someone typically positions themselves to be treated in a bad way, then this is likely not to be a true extension of the self, ratter it is an extension of an added extension, so it is likely an extension of an image which someone might of tried to built in order to create the self, which might of gone wrong. But another explanation for this would have to be the fact that we are given extensions which people inflict on us as we grow up, and we sometimes may automatically try to live up to them, or in some case live down to these extensions, because we might believe that they are what forms the self, but true extensions are extension of the self. But although extensions are naturally placed upon us by our environment, the real determinant of our extension is the self. Now what is the self, the self can be tendencies towards certain talents, or to develop certain talents, as well certain style of work effort which we feel compelled to exhibit, but these tendencies are simply our main capabilities, our capabilities according to the self. Many people can interpret this as a certain calling, which would be an accurate description; a calling is a perfect process to express, because through the process of a certain calling we naturally and freely express the self. The extensions which come from a certain calling would have to be the natural extensions to the self; this is when our extensions are truly a product of the self, and not a product of trying to form the self.

If our clothing and all of our belongings, and all of our identities and roles were to be made out of sand, and if a gust of wind suddenly carried all of this sand away, what would be left of us? What would be left would be us, for one our capabilities, our work ethics, our determination, our resolution, our resourcefulness, our intensions, our uniqueness. But on top of all of this, our imagination, imagination is the main extension of the self, imagination is the limitlessness, as for the mental structure and ways of being they often set the limits. But imagination or better yet vision is what can keep opportunities alive, imagination is a force which can make a mental structure, but of course a person’s mental structure will also help guide the imagination.

Our Extensions: the humane expression

What is the extension of the self when it comes to humane extension, how do we regularly show our true self?  I believe that the true humane self is revealed in the service of others. Human kind has generally and regularly been able to show this humane self in moments of need, or of tragedy. A lot of people have been known to feel as if they have suddenly found themselves once they discover a desire to help others. When we see a person in need of help and we sincerely desire to give a helping hand that is what can truly be considered the genuine humane self, it is also at these moments where we may discover our self purpose, or realign our self with it. Where we may discover the self, and realize that the self is who we are and who we are is not its extensions. When we can realize that the extensions are there because of the self, but the extensions are not what make the self, we are at one with the self.

Instinctive links and influence

                                       Instinctive links and influence

What is an instinctive link? Well let’s use this example, a lot of religion groups believe that a women’s role should be as a mother and as a house wife, some go as far as to say that it is gods will, and that they have been inspired by god to this conclusion. But what they most likely have been inspired from is the programmed link which has been associated with a certain role that one must play, a link that they have not disassociated with. Now a lot of links we as human kind have overcome, or reduced to a lower degree, but a lot we have not simply for the fact that we might of not have seen it as a necessity to overcome, because we might not of seen them as harmful. But never the less they are still simply links, links to things that might have been very necessary to us at a certain point in evolution, but might not be necessary to us today, in fact in many cases what might once have been necessary, now can be very destructive if unchanged. Now what reinforces or changes these links is our intent factor, when our instincts are aroused they will create indirect links to certain things, to certain patterns, and it is also very important to say that whatever arouses our instincts will indirectly become linked to causing arousal. And once something becomes indirectly linked to an arousal of any intent, then when the arousal is present a person will revert back to this intent and to those patterns, and these instincts will bring a person to simply play out instincts and patterns. I should also state to be clear that what most dominantly arouses our need fulfillment instincts will indirectly become linked to the arousal of these instincts as well (in the world of marketing this is one of its greatest tool). And whether we are conscious of it or not, we are always marketing, not just marketing our selves, but we are also constantly marketing what has been marketed to us. So in a sense we as individuals are natural marketing machines.

we for the most part advertise what has most influenced our existing mental structure, we do this on a subconscious level, we unconsciously and subconsciously advertise unto other people what we have been most influenced by. Now by advertising our mental structure we also advertise what we have for the most part been influenced by, this creates links in the minds of the people whom we associate with, and these links can then be associated to us, causing a person to like or dislike us. As well if these people have been influenced by similar things as us, then simply by the way in which we present ourselves, we also in certain ways present what has most influenced our present mental structure. Therefore this will cause indirect links to products, people, ways of being, and ways of thinking, unto the people whom we are associate with, especially if they have been influenced by similar things. This is for the most part how we unconsciously expand ourselves, of course this is the same process on a conscious level, we just then do so by conversation, by opinions, and so on. But I believe that this process at the level of the unconscious in our subconscious is much more powerful, because it is much harder to resist what you are not conscious about, as well it is harder to resist the opinions which are unknowingly being placed upon us. This is where a strong mental structure comes in handy, at times a strong mental structure is not just in regards to being able to stand by and defend our opinions and ways of being. A strong mental structure is often in how we can at times also loosen ourselves from certain opinions or ways of being, because often times our opinions and ways of being is what is most being fed in our subconscious, therefore what we are most influenced by.

Now it would make sense to conclude that what I refer to as our biological aggressiveness which leads to what I believe Sigmund Freud referred to as libido energy, is the foundation of where mammals market themselves for sex. Now in humans this is a much more evolved process, our biological aggressiveness is the main aspect to our expansion, sex was our first form of marketing, but now we also market ourselves with love, with ideas, with creation, with our thoughts and opinions, we are truly walking marketing machines.

So in the marketing sense the commercials and advertisements which are made are not the main fuel to selling a product, we as individuals are. When an individual is influenced by a certain commercial, service or product, then individuals unconsciously and indirectly become linked to this product, or ways of being. An individual unconsciously becomes a marketing machine for what ever this individual is or has been influenced by.

Now to get back to instinctive links, when something arouses someone at the level of instinct fulfillment, this person who is being aroused is being overwhelmed by instinctive impulses, that is where pattern reactions are develop, where patterns become linked to need fulfillments, this is also where knowledge, opinions and perception can also be linked to this need fulfillment impulse. Now at the core level of our impulses are our survival needs, hunger and Trist (food, and water) reproduction (sex) clothing and shelter (safety) and of course body regulation and function (health, function ability) these are the core aspects of all our actions. Now from these core impulsive needs, traits and habits are formed which will determine how needs are fulfilled. Then after that will come behaviors which are usually products of these traits, and are relevant in the need fulfillment of our core needs, and then patterns are formed upon patterns which will dictate how a person goes about in fulfilling these needs. Now all of these patterns are all a part of culture learning, culture learning which we have a natural tendencies towards. Our own individual learning as well as all of our patterns will also somewhat become links to our instinctive impulses, so even if a person does not let instinctive impulses completely take over, the impulses which they have will be dictated by these patterns and in some ways the strength of an impulse will form the behavior. But the main problem in all of this is that when instinctive impulses are present, or too dominantly present, a person will simply act out patterns and will ignore logic and reason. Now obviously at times the patterns which a person will act out may in fact be logical, and be considered as good reasoning, but if the instincts gain even more strength, then older and more primitive patterns may come to be.

When a person is highly overwhelmed by instinctive impulses, then we could say that they are operating on biological automatic, this is the most unconscious state of function which a human can display, this is a state where everything becomes irrelevant except for the emotions which are being guided by instinctive impulses. Now what becomes dangerous especially if hateful emotions are stirred up by these reactions is that a person in this state will still have certain memories on how to do things, and what is needed to get things done, but in this state a person will have a lack of awareness. So a person will have a lack of awareness while still having knowledge of how to do certain things and this will be highly influenced by instinctive impulses. A great example of this is seen in smart leaders who have guided their groups or nations to do horrible illogical things. When instinctive impulses are too dominantly present it will amplify certain beliefs which a person may have which are indirectly in accordance to their impulsive instincts such as survival. But in human beings these impulsive instincts will also become according to their beliefs, so the instinct for survival may in fact be guided by a person’s belief, and of course a person’s beliefs will also be a factor in guiding the playing out of a person’s instinctive impulses.

Strong patterned emotional impulses, as well as what lurks around the most in our subconscious is linked to our instinctive impulses. And what lurks around the most in a person’s subconscious is what they are most constantly being bombarded with by the world around them, as well as what has been the most relevant in human history. But most importantly what lurks around the most in a person’s subconscious is what they pick up when they are in an unconscious state of mind, or when they are aroused by instinctive impulse, and these impulses will reinforces what is being picked up unconsciously, this of course for the most part will go in accordance to a person’s mental structure, as well as their mind state at that particular time. And what is being stored in a person’s subconscious will form indirect links to a persons impulses, and these links will not only be acted out when a person is highly ran by impulses, these links will also activate these impulses. But of course this process is in a large part what I have described in chapter 4 and 5, in regards to the process of the ego.

Now everything has an influence, from our instincts influencing us towards certain things, as well as certain things having an influence on our instincts. For example our health helps determine our capabilities, but our capabilities also helps to determine our health, our instincts influences the forming of our mental structure, but our mental structure also influences how we play out our instincts. In these days and times our instincts helps influence the forming of our mental structure, but so does our environments. So all this to say that everything has its effects, and that we can never look to one particular thing or aspect, because everything plays a part upon each other, everything is influenced but everything also has its influence, this has to be a fundamental law of evolution.

                               The fundamental law of balance

Positivity creates just as much negativity, and negativity creates just as much positivity. There can not be one without the other, so the more positivity there is, the more negativity there will be. This has to happen in order to maintain a balance, but this is more so on a universal level more then it is in an individual. So the negative of today might bring about the positive of tomorrow, and the new positive which we create might render past positives to be considered to now be negative, and vise versa. So this would mean that balance and being centered is the key, because the more highs a person gets, the more lows this person is likely to also achieve, this is seen in people who are bipolar, but this probably affects everyone else as well. The reason is that the high feeling makes way for the low, the high feeling is unsustainable making the low become even more relevant, also the high will burn more fuel making the low unavoidable, the low will require more rest making the highs more likely. So obviously this is an on going process which can be very destructive along the way.

So the more positive there is in a persons life, the more negative must be awaiting, this can mostly be seen as the more highly a person sees themselves during their highs, the lower they will likely see themselves during their lows. But this is not the case in every individual; it’s more of a universal law.

But typically the happier a person can become, the more unhappy they are capable of becoming, of course there are exceptions to this rule, but for the most part this is true. So in a sense the more highs a person rides, the more lows will likely be in the drive, but the reality of it is that these highs might only seem like highs in contrast to the lows, and these lows might only seem like lows in contrast to the highs. Now this may be considered on how we perceive things, but it goes way beyond that, because the way we perceive things is based on our mental structure as well as our mind state at that particular time, so the way in which we perceive things as highs or lows is based on our categorized knowledge of it. This is the same concept as with perceiving 1 million dollars to be a lot of money, for the simple reason that it is far away from being a penny, so this is categorized knowledge as well as knowledge of our economics. But when it comes to highs and lows, a high is like perceiving things being a million dollars, and the lows is like perceiving things being a penny. Now can what we perceive to be a million dollars today, be perceived as 1 penny tomorrow? Absolutely because in certain situation what we may perceive as being harmful to our mental state today, we may perceive as being helpful to our mental state tomorrow. Because what can be harmful to our mental state today may actually be beneficial to our mental state tomorrow, this all depends on how our mind state is at any particular time, and the balance which we exercise over our overall mental structure, and also depending on what may be a bit off. Balancing certain things are needed to bring some balance, so what might be harmful on one day may actually be needed to bring balance on another day, for example being sad may be bad on a certain day, but being a bit sad may have its positives on another day. So the more highs or lows which a person gets may simply be a process of automatic balancing which is trying to compensate for a persons own mental structure.

Highs and low and our psychological gratification process

Now our psychological gratification is in regards to what brings to our mental state a certain amount of satisfaction, as well as often times a certain amount of well being, for example when we accomplish something and feel good about it, it brings to us a certain amount of psychological gratification. Now this is a process which we also somewhat become accustom too, and it sort of becomes an indirect need fulfillment which we may feel the need to fulfill. Now the down side is when these psychological gratification needs are placed at the expense of other people, as well as when they are too easily attained. When they are too easily attained it is likely to prevent a person from ever accomplishing what they truly desire to accomplish, this of course is relevant in regards to all aspects of a person’s life. Now the highs and lows which I have just described is very relevant when it comes to psychological gratification, if we let too many things bring to us a high amount of psychological gratification, then we will naturally let many things also bring about a lost of psychological gratification, and this process I believe is a high aspect in what causes people to want to bring down other people. Because if a person finds extremely high amounts of psychological gratification on certain specific things, they may unconsciously want to bring down whomever does not derived their psychological gratification from these same things. This is of course a product of the unnecessary ego, and this is usually done in order to mentally reaffirm our psychological gratifications, as well as the mental positions which bring to us these gratifications. This is also often times done as an attempt to try to get others to derive their psychological gratification from the same things which we ourselves derive our psychological gratification from. Now this can only happen when we place too much psychological gratification on certain things, people, or on our positions, or ways of being in life. So it is best to notice what it is which we derive our psychological gratification from, then to mentally release our hold from these such things, and just live them.

It is always best to not place too much importance on any psychological gratification for two reasons, the first is once we do, we somewhat become victim to them, we somewhat become its servant, and this will always maintain us within that some realm of reality, or in the same realm of thinking, opinions, as well as in the same realm of  perceived possibilities. This might at times not be a bad thing at all, but we must never the less be careful. The second is that if we naturally place too much importance on any psychological gratification, then as I have mentioned if we ride highs we will also ride lows. Because by placing too much importance on any psychological gratification we will naturally tend to built our self confidence upon these things, so our self confidence will be in accordance to our extensions and not in accordance to the self (I will describe what I mean by our extensions of the self in more details in chapter 9). And once our self confidence is too highly linked to certain things, it is likely to be a fragile confidence, which will always need to be sustained by outer things, or by these psychological gratification. We then will also be more susceptive to be manipulated by the means of what we find too much psychological gratification with, in a sense the marketing industry is in part built upon such tactics.

When psychological gratifications are too easy and too frequent it will have an effect somewhat like sugar has, it will cause a sudden high followed by a quick low, this low will cause a need for another high, another sugar rush, in other words another fulfilling of these  psychological gratification.

                                           The process to free will

Once it finds nutrition life will then copy itself to protect itself from the death of any one individual, and this is the process of evolution, this is the evolution process from individual cells to individuals, from individuals to a society. Life finds food, then replicates and then evolves, so at least on the biological level we as humans are very much like cells, we multiply and die off, we expand our population and create an organism, in our case this can be seen as society.

Free will is free of patterns, and of instinctive impulses (in this article I will use what is commonly referred to as instinctive reactions, and I will use the term instinctive impulses instead. Because I feel that it will convey the meaning of the article more clearly) life is pre determined because life and the forces of life creates patterns, and patterns create more patterns, and this is an endless cycle, and if we truly follow this force then can there be free will? So we cannot truly have free will if we are pushed by these forces, and if they influence all things. But even within the influence of these forces free will is possible? The natural forces of nature determine patterns and predetermine certain outcomes, but there are many different routs to a particular outcome, and I believe that this is free will as we experience it. Because even if something is pre determined to arrive at a certain conclusion, we still can not predict the exact rout which will be taken, because every pattern which is determine by the chain of patterns is meant to create other patterns. So in an individual preferring orange juice over apple juice might simply be a result of this unfolding of patterns which may have come upon by which foods this person first was given, and by which foods this person first took a liking too, which caused a chain of patterns which later determined whether this person preferred orange juice over apple juice. Now if we look at it in this way then there really cannot be free will at all, but this would be terribly hard to prove, and I believe that it is also unlikely. I believe that forces cause patterns and patterns cause an endless chain of patterns. But what if something was removed from this force, then does it still follow patterns, I believe that the answer to this is NO, but in a larger sense the answer is YES, if there were patterns that caused patterns which caused patterns that would lead to this certain thing being removed from the forces which causes its own patterns, I guess that this could be considered more as following a universal pattern. But never the less the certain thing which has been removed from its driving force is now free of its patterns. So in a sense free will can only exist by a chain of patterns which causes free will to be in a certain thing(or aspect in an individual) so in another sense this would also mean that there is no free will at an universal level. But free will can came to be in the content of the universe, but then again if enough free will comes of its content, then can this content bring about universal free will? But then again on a level beyond the universe that might simply be part of a chain of patterns. I guess this really gives us something to think about.

But on a much smaller level, the level of individual human beings what is free will?

Now does a lion have free will, I guess a lion can decide left or right and certain other things, but overall a lion does not have much free will, it simply acts out similar patterns just as every other lion. Now why do we know this, because we are looking at a far intellectually inferior creature compared to us. But if the future of humanity were to view us a million years from now, they would probably arrive at the same conclusion, but I am sure that we can arrive at this conclusion with the level of intelligence which we have today. Now for the question of what is free will, and can we gain more of it, I think we first need to look at what causes us not to have free will, and that is patterns. Now where do our patterns come from? Now if we look at it as to what causes our patterns in these days and time, well the answer would be a multiple cause answer, seeing that our patterns come from everywhere. But the real question here is what sustains our patterns and where did they truly originate from? And the answer to that is our primitive instincts, our instinctive impulses from our reptile brain. But patterns upon patterns have formed from these impulses, and the more impulsive we are the more we are giving life to these earlier patterns. But this is far more complicated then that, because even after the level of instinctive impulses, without having any instinctive impulses we can still activate a pattern, which in turn can activate a chain of patterns. Now this is the level on which the majority of the patterns which we inhibit every day come from, but although this is where the majority of our patterns come from, any patterns which are directly activated by instinctive impulses are far more dominant, and can by pass all of these other patterns. Now a lot of the patterns which are part of the mammal brain are actually patterns which somewhat are meant to reduce and regulate the instinctive impulses. So if we think about it, this is where free will started, even though if we now look back, we might not consider it to have been much free will, but never the less the mammal brain was the start of free will, and this free will is actually what starts to create patterns which are not directly connected to instinctive impulses. I should add that instinctive impulses do follow a pattern; instinctive impulses are the foundation of patterns. So when the mammal brain came along it formed patterns, but it formed patterns which actually reduced the instinctive patterns. Because in these new patterns more room for differences was created, and from these patterns, patterns upon patterns where built up, but all of these patterns where indirectly the results of the first patterns which in their turn are the results of instinctive impulses. And from there as things progress and as the Nero cortex started to evolve, societies were formed, new patterns were added on top of previous patterns, and as time went on individuals started to have more of their own patterns. As for before what may have been seen as individual patterns were for the most part instinctive impulses which guided an individual to act a certain way for the shake of survival. We can see this in wild animals, inside a group a certain animal may act out differently and exhibit different patterns from others out of survival instincts, maybe because it is not as strong as the others, or maybe because its teeth are not as Sharpe (this is what can be considered as a personality trait). But these patterns are instinctive patterns, they are all impulses, and as society evolved individuals and groups formed patterns upon patterns, and this has gone on up to this day, but never the less all of these patterns are indirectly linked to instinctive impulses. But yes the more the evolving of patterns take place the more space we have away from instinctive impulses, and that is what we can consider to be free will. But never the less these patterns are still highly dictated by older patterns, as well as by instinctive impulses. Now what is the foundation of all of these patterns, well what comes right after instinctive impulses, well the answer is personality traits. Now the reason why I am putting personality traits before emotions is simple, just take a look at many different individuals, analyze how they express love, or how they express anger and you will conclude that they do so according to their personality traits, so this let’s us know that personality traits came before emotions. And also by knowing this we also come to realize that this whole process of evolution which took millions of years is played out in a matter of months in a new born child. First they act on instincts, then certain traits become visible, then emotions are born, so in a short time we as modern humans play out millions of years of evolution. Now to get back to the foundation of patterns, personality traits come after instinctive impulses, and then not far after we have emotions. Now what personality traits do is drive instinctive impulse towards certain different patterns, this is also where differences start to happen, then according to the patterns which the personality traits have created, emotions are created and certain emotions are more dominant according to certain personality traits. And from there on emotions created a vast variety of patterns, so in a sense emotions did play a large part in creating free will. But never the less emotions are still tightly linked to instinctive impulses, and we must also conclude that emotions are a strong force in brining about old patterns, especially old patterns from a time where emotions were strongly linked to particular patterns, and where emotions were the main cause of these patterns, because the first signs of emotions were directly affected by instinctive impulses. For an example self defense and aggression in the reptile brain is an instinctive impulse, in the mammal brain, self defense and aggression might cause anger, and in the future when this anger is activated, it might cause one to be defensive and aggressive, even if the situation does not necessitate such things. So in this way we can clearly understand how we tend to built patterns based on the reactions which were activated by instinctive impulses.

Now I quickly want to go back on personality traits and how I believe that they were created. How personality traits must have came along is probably based on the dominant instinctive reactions which a certain group had to exhibit the most depending on their environments. So different groups in different types of environments must have developed different dominant traits, and as things went along different groups must of formed inside of different groups. This must of further lead certain individuals to have amplified certain dominant traits in response to their environments within their groups, as well as the environments which surrounded their groups.

                                        Nero cortex and its patterns

Now the question is does the Nero cortex have its patterns, the answer is yes, but not necessarily in our ways of living, because we as a human race are still very much embedded in our reptile and mammal brains, and those are the patterns which we for the most part display. We cannot deny that we are still guided and that our actions are still strongly dictated by the earlier patterns which we formed as a human race. But the Nero cortex does have patterns, but for the most part we exercise these patterns in a technical sense, the evidence of this is obvious in technical fields and in many activities where the development of certain patterns which are a direct product of the Nero cortex are displayed. Art is the first known sign of activity from the Nero cortex, and art was a major break throw in free will, someone did something technical which had no relevance to satisfying the needs of their daily living.

An aspect which our Nero cortex has greatly put into existence is our capability to anticipate. Anticipation helps to bring free will, but our anticipation capabilities only goes according to our knowledge, so obviously the more a person knows, the more they can anticipate. Our ability to anticipate does distance us from our patterns, and from our instinctive impulses, but I think the greatest use of our anticipation capabilities has to be anticipating our own selves. If we anticipate a certain pattern reaction within ourselves, we will no longer just be acting out certain patterns, but we will truly have more of a decision. Anticipation of our own actions and reactions is one of the main roads to attaining more free will, but this of course goes according to our knowledge, the more that we know, and the more that we know what triggers certain of our patterns, the more we will have personal free will. This is and has always been the process of human evolution.
